We all have expectations and experiences that shape what we think it looks like to be a Christian. But occasionally we need a reset. In the book of Philippians, Paul shows us what the Christian life ought to look like, with Christ at the centre of our relationships, our prayers, our ambitions and identity.  

Discussion Questions

1. How is Paul united with the Philippians? What have they gone through together?
2. What is Paul’s hope and prayer for the Philippians? How is it different than what we might pray for each other?
3. What is Paul’s life ambition? Does he have to be at the centre of it? Does he have terms or conditions?
4. How does a Christ-centred person view life and death? What are some unhealthy extremes to avoid here?
5. Think of the different roles and responsibilities you have. What does honouring Christ look like in each of these areas?
