As Paul closes this letter he gives a number of instructions for Christian life. Many Christians are grumpy, anxious, combative or stingy, with their attitudes entirely dependent on their circumstances. When life is going well, they rejoice. When it’s going poorly, they despair. But Paul calls us to a joyful, content, generous and worshipful life with Jesus at the centre.

2. What are some things “worthy of praise” that you can dwell on? How is this helpful?
3. What is the alluring promise of “just a little bit more” and what is the secret that Paul learned?
4. What are the “all things” of verse 13? What kind of things did Paul mean?
5. How is our money an opportunity to worship? What does our spending say about our hearts?
