Opening
What stood out to you from Sunday’s message?
Summary
Read Matthew 19:1-12
Marriage is a covenant, not a contract. It is a promise of future love, not an expression of present love. It is a promise, not a feeling. And marriage is a picture of the gospel, putting on display Jesus’ persevering, covenant-keeping, always faithful, always forgiving love for his bride. When Jesus gets asked about divorce, he brings us back to Genesis 2 and God’s beautiful design for marriage.
