The bizarre and overwhelming vision that Ezekiel has in chapter 1 is all a precursor to God calling Ezekiel to be a prophet. This task will be extremely difficult, with almost no chance of “success.” We want our life to be easy and successful, but God promises neither, instead calling and equipping us to do hard things in his service.

God equips Ezekiel with the Spirit and his Word, the same things he equips us with. What does it look like to rely on Spirit and Word in your callings? How can you do that more?
