Summary
Read Ruth 1:6-22
Naomi has suffered so much loss, yet God has visited his people and is working to draw Naomi back. While Naomi is returning home, for Orpah and Ruth, to leave for Bethlehem means leaving their home country, family and religion. In these verses we see how the three women face each deal with this tough decision. We see the bitterness of Naomi, the self-interest of Orpah and the surprising courage and commitment of Ruth.
